Face Masks are required for everyone entering the hospital.
APPOINMENTS
To better serve you and your pet we require all patients be seen by appointment. Appointments allow the doctor to devote their full attention to your pet, fully and clearly inform you on whatever treatment your pet may need and answer any questions you have. Appointments also help prevent congestion in the lobby area which in turn allow the receptionists to speak with you clearly both upon check in and check out and further answer any questions you might have. Preventing congestion also helps reduce stress on your pet. When there’s too many people, or too many other pets, it can be over-stimulating and stressful on what may be an already stressful visit to the vet.
FIRST-TIME CLIENTS must pay the exam fee per pet at the time of scheduling over the phone or in person to confirm the appointment.
Please NOTE: Appointments scheduled on the same day of booking are non refundable in instances of no show or failure to cancel.
CANCELLATIONS
Please note that Healthier Pet Veterinary Care has a 24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. A late cancellation fee will be applied to any cancellation with less than 24hr. notice.
DAY ADMISSION
Certain situations require more time than the usual allotted 30minutes of an appointment, i.e.; multiple x-rays, a timed blood test, bandaging, and sometimes a pet that is prone to being extra nervous and a little more to handle. Sometimes even a pet that may be sensitive and in pain will take more time and may sometimes need a mild sedation.
Day admission appointments consist of you leaving your pet with us anytime between 8:30am and 10am and picking up towards the end of the day; this sort of appointment allows us the time needed to work with your pet and complete all necessary treatments.
Whether a day admission appointment is needed will be determined at the time of scheduling.
PAYMENT
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on your pets needs, and to reduce costs, we do not bill. If you have any financial concerns or constraints, please let the staff know at check in so that the doctor can create a treatment plan that works with you.
We accept debit cards, credit cards (Discover, Visa, MasterCard) and cash. We no longer accept checks.
Care Credit is also accepted. This program allows you to pay off your bill in payments and up to the first 6 months are interest free. To see if you qualify for Care Credit visit their website at: http://www.carecredit.com/ or contact them at: (800) 677-0718
PET INSURANCE is another popular option to assist with payment. Please refer to our pet insurance page for further details and websites.
