Laboratory Testing & Imaging

Radiographs (X-Rays)

We offer the latest in digital imaging in order to provide quick and accurate diagnostic images for your pet. This allows our veterinarian to diagnose conditions that sometimes cannot be detected on a routine physical exam.

We also count on the ability to share these digital images electronically with board certified specialist who can help us in difficult cases and receive quick consultation.

Most x-rays can be taken with your pet fully awake. Sometimes, it is best to lightly sedate or even anesthetize your pet for a short period in order to do radiographs. Sedation may be necessary if the pet is aggressive or also if they are in a lot of pain.  We have to get certain radiographs in very specific positions and these movements could be painful for the pet, therefore sedation is greatly helpful to keep the pet from suffering pain during the procedure.

Laboratory Testing

Our in-house and reference laboratory testing allows us to quickly evaluate your pet’s internal health and detect changes that may not be visible on physical exam alone. This includes bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, and other diagnostic panels tailored to your pet’s age, symptoms, and medical history.

Fast turnaround times help us diagnose illness earlier, monitor chronic conditions, and ensure pets are stable before anesthesia or other procedures. Results are always reviewed by a veterinarian and discussed with you in clear, practical terms.

Book a Medical Evaluation

Ultrasound

Ultrasound allows real-time evaluation of internal organs and soft tissues that cannot be fully assessed on X-rays alone. This modality is commonly used to assess the abdomen, bladder, liver, spleen, kidneys, reproductive organs, and to help clarify the cause of unexplained symptoms.

The procedure is non-invasive and typically well tolerated. Sedation is rarely required and is considered only when needed to reduce stress or improve diagnostic accuracy. When appropriate, findings can be shared electronically with board-certified specialists to support complex or unclear cases.

Schedule a Doctor Visit

All diagnostic testing is guided by a veterinarian following an exam, with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind.
